A key switch (sometimes called a lock switch to distinguish it from a key switch) is a switch that can be activated only by the use of a key. They are usually used in situations where access needs to be restricted to the switch’s functions. This two-position keylock switch provides a high level of security with a two-tumbler key barrel that can be used to power up your project with a literal turn of a key. At only about 12mm, it won’t take up much space in your project enclosure. This keylock switch features a contact rating of 1A C and mechanical life of about 6000 cycles.
